Two years ago I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering after 4 years of hard work. Here I was, 22 years old, highly educated and straight out of school, but ……I knew absolutely nothing about money nor the internet.I had no practical concept of money, never had a credit card, or personal bank account. I just had Chinese new years money I saved up literally stuffed under my bed. My parents had sheltered me from money and paid for everything and for college I was given scholarships to study and get my degrees in four years. I was even considering finishing a PhD but I wanted to get some real work experience. (I never had a job before in my life) A good thing I did. Only when I started my professional career did I truly see the necessity and power of money and the internet.You would think an electrical engineer would be very tech savvy and would know a lot about the internet. You’d be dead wrong. As I found out the hard way, they do not teach you anything about money nor the internet in school. Fast forward a few years and now I make money online working a few hours a week that augment my high-paying professional salary.
I have tried and spent a lot of time and money to find the closely held true secrets to making money. From motivational books and tapes, MLM programs, seminars, affiliate programs, SEO books and software, technical website books, to stock market books, guides, subscriptions and magazines, I’ve tried them all but never felt I had reached the level of success I wanted. At one point in time I was one of those people who complained about rising gas prices, how much it cost to eat out, and how low our raises were every year. But at one critical point, instead of working harder, hoping, and waiting for a better financial situation, I decided to work smarter and take an active approach to increasing my wealth. Only until about a year ago did I start to develop my own techniques and system of making money online. If you followed our journey from the beginning, I am sorry we did not blog about the specific projects and breakthroughs my twin and I had that propelled our passive incomes from zero to over 5 times our current professional salaries. We originally intended to list down all our projects and track our earnings, but we did not do it for a number of reasons. But to be perfectly honest, it’s not the specific tasks, ideas, businesses, websites, projects, breakthroughs, etc. that got us here. It was just changing our thoughts and finally making a decision to really go through this journey.

Update to about from 2005: Some lessons and stories from our childhood are documented in our blog articles – here are pictures from our childhood grade school days. We found it during our recent holiday vacation.My twin and I have been working for over a year now and have decided we want to become rich. My twin and I started this site to document, entertain, teach, and guide others who choose to be rich. So far, we have built enough assets and wealth to live without having to work for 4 years. Our goal is to invest and build enough assets and wealth to live the rest of our lives without having to depend on work earned income and to use that time to do what we truly want to do.We have not been able to update this site daily unlike some other blog sites because we have several other business/ projects/ ideas that we are working on. However, we will strive to maintain and improve the quality of each future and present article. We hope it gives value and insight to those who share our mindset: being honest to ourselves, of not wanting to have to work for the rest of our lives, willing to take full responsibility and control of our own actions and financial status, willing to learn and grow in order to reach our goals.
